  "Cocooned Heart" by Sussanne Hoiberg May 24, 2020 What is a cocooned heart, you ask? It was a safe place to get lost in during corona. I felt a little lost myself, so I created a heart which can be comforting. It is the first in the "Loveable Self Series".
I moved into my live and work Artist Studio in Vancouver on Feb. 02, 2020. I was so excited and happy to have my vision fullfilled. I opened my studio to the public on March 7, 2020 for First Saturday. Then soon after that we were shut down for the safety of the artists and the public. I was in panic mode. Thank goodness, I have an excellent life coach. She suggested, I do something silly, and fun. It was also suggested I paint a picture of what my loveable self would look like. Contemplation and meditation is key, because I saw a heart.. flashing before eyes, it really stood out, bright light... so I painted. I realized, this was much more than just myself I was meditating on. I wanted to send a feeling of love, support, compassion and a feeling of safety to humanity. As the days went by, I meditated more, and currently I am painting, The Lovebug, Manbug, and The flower of life.
