 Reflections of light (a work in progress) acrylic ink and oil pastel Its already February, and I feel like we just said, Happy New Year!! January has been a busy month of planning, painting and creating vision boards. Creating a plan for a positive future for life flowing with ease. How is your first month in 2022? I am feeling the good vibrations of 2022 already. I started two brand new paintings. This painting is about the reflections of light from the candle. I am exploring how light bounces through crystals onto the paper. It is so much fun, because now I have expanded into this brand new colour palette. Life has been challenging for many of us. I especially have felt it, working alone here in the studio. Finding new ways every day to stay positive, find a reason to smile and get dressed!! I have overcome many of the challenges placed in my path. Painting helps me to find my way back up again. Opening my studio to the public once a month, is the perfect way to meet new people, and it always cheers me up!! Its fun to talk about art and how it affects the planet and how we think. Getting input from other people on what they feel about what I create is so inspiring for me. Buying a new art piece is something that takes contemplation. I welcome you to take the time and really look at a painting that catches your eye. Can you visualize where it will go? Is there a particular painting that you adore? Options, negotiations, rental, and purchase are all things that can be discussed. I created a fun little video about why I paint. I am not a movie star, just an artist talking about art and why I love to paint... and perhaps heal the world through art!! Next open studio is this Saturday, Feb. 05, 2022 from 12 to 5:00pm. at 1701 Powell Street, Vancouver, BC. There are several art studios open in our building.
