Its all about Enjoying the Dream & the Journey to get there!!
Its been more than a year since I communicated here. Life took some turns for all of us. Life as an artist is not always the easy road. I mostly make it sound like a blast. It is a blast and so much fun when I am painting in the art Studio. Then reality sets in, when I notice that not to many paintings have sold, and I have rent to pay. That's when my bubble burst.
The law of attraction, following my bliss, and looking for things that make me smile, is my belief. This is how I create my art, its my inspiration. If I am not "happy" in the moment, I think about what I want to feel and then paint it. This is how I heal myself, generating the positive energy out into the universe. It is my hope that my artwork has a strong emotional impact on whomever views my art.
I created Dream Bug for guidance. I had a thought, that I was getting stuck in making the dream work, trying to figure out how to make things work in life. I realized, I needed to find my way back to enjoying the dream, not trying to make it happen. I had to let it happen. DreamBug, is a way to let your dreams be fun, and evolve, naturally. You just need to be open to receiving.
Even though I created DreamBug, things did not work out as smoothly, as I wanted. I actually had to let go of everything. Let go of control. Not an easy task for myself.
I am now paying attention to the gifts that are presented to me, even when they are challenging. My art studio which is my biggest dream, came true when I moved in February 2020. Everyday when I woke up, I thought of how grateful I was and excited to living and working in an art studio. Many obstacles where in my path and I always found a way around it, made the best of it. I found a whole community of artists. With 80 artist studios in the same building, there was very great artistic energy flowing. I connected very talented artists who all believe in the same things. We are like minded artists, my family.
This year, 2023 I realized I had to move out of this beautiful building filled with very talented artists. My mother has been very ill for over a year, in and out of the hospital. She came home on Dec. 29th, 2022 and my dad needed help and so did I. I thankfully accepted their offer and moved in with them April 01, 2023.
The first month I lived with my parents, was challenging as we were learning how to live together. Eventually we found our way to accepting the flow of life, and the laughter and love surrounded us. My mother became stronger, and was finally able to get out of bed in April and with help. My dad and I were encouraging her, and singing her praises every time she took another step with her walker and us following her with the wheel chair. She had many health issues, and was finally going to have surgery on May 30th, to remove a cancerous tumor from her colon, and reverse the coloscopy bag. She was unable to digest food, and had complications. They had to perform another surgery on June 5th, to repair the sutures that came undone inside. June 5th was their 61st wedding anniversary. My mom was a strong woman and overcame many obstacles in her life. The last two years of her life were very challenging. My mom passed away on June 16th. She is now in Valhalla and a beautiful Valkyrie, free of pain, light and happy. I have seen her beautiful energy all around me in nature when I go for walks here in the neighbourhood.
My dad and I are really getting to know each other and being there each other. I am so happy to be living in White Rock/south Surrey area. I have moved my art table into my dad's home. I am finally ready to paint. The next painting will be of my mother her memory as we prepare for her celebration of life on July 29th at 12pm at the Danish Lutheran Church in Burnaby.
I am in the process of dreaming my future, thinking of the possibilities. This new painting DreamBug will definitely help me to enjoy my dream and see the possibilities unfold. Enjoying the journey, even the challenging bumps in the road that help me to realize what I really want out of life!!
